Storage Pods Make Moving Easy

Storage pods let you move house without scheduling your move around a moving company's schedule, and their safety, security, and convenience cannot be matched. When the pods are dropped off at your home, you have full control over how long you take to pack them, when they are picked up, when the company brings them to your new home, and how long you take to unpack them. Pods significantly reduce the stress of moving house.

Using storage pods is simple. You call the company and order the number of pods you will need, then specify the date you want them to arrive. A company truck leaves the pods outside your home. You pack them at your own pace and lock them, then call the company for pickup. The company loads them back onto the truck and either drives them straight to your new address, or keeps them in a secure storage facility until you call back to request delivery. When the pods arrive at your new home, you empty them, then call for pickup, and the company takes them away. That's all. Often you don't even need to be present when the pods arrive or are picked up.

Although pods are excellent any time you are moving house, they are exceptionally well suited to moves in which you will not be moving into your new home immediately. For instance, if you sell your previous house before you close on a new house, you may need to stay in a hotel or a temporary rental for a month or two while you wait to be able to move into your new house. If you use a traditional moving company, the movers will have to haul your belongings off the truck and put them into storage (with all the battering that involves), then they will need to reload them onto the truck to deliver them to your new address. In essence, you move twice and pay twice. With storage pods, your possessions stay secure in the pod throughout the process, so they run far less risk of damage, and the price for storing the pods and reloading them when you are ready for them is factored into the fee. You move once and pay once. On top of that, storage pod companies are used to storing pods for a lengthy period, so you will not need to reassure a moving company that expected you to call for delivery within a week of your first move.
